Overview

PEG-MGF is a chemically modified version of Mechano Growth Factor (MGF), with a polyethylene glycol (PEG) molecule attached to slow its breakdown and clearance from the body. Standard MGF is notoriously unstable, often degrading within minutes of reconstitution, so PEGylation is intended to extend its window of activity at the site of muscle exertion, allowing for less frequent dosing than unmodified MGF.

Muscle wasting (research interest)

Its extended stability compared to standard MGF is studied as a way to sustain muscle-stem-cell activation over a longer period.
