Overview
Cagrilintide is a long-acting amylin analog developed by Novo Nordisk, most prominently studied in combination with semaglutide as CagriSema. By mimicking amylin — a hormone co-secreted with insulin that regulates satiety and gastric emptying — it produces additive appetite suppression when paired with GLP-1 agonism.
Treatments studied
Treatment categories
Obesity / weight management
Mimics amylin to add a second, independent layer of appetite suppression beyond GLP-1 alone.

Studied alongside semaglutide (as CagriSema) for its combined effect on blood sugar and weight.
