IGF-1 LR3
ResearchIGF-1 LR3 (Long Arg3-IGF-1)
- Category
- Growth Hormone
- Aliases
- Long R3 IGF-1, Long-Arg3-IGF-1
- Administration
- Subcutaneous injection
How it works
- Binds IGF-1 receptors to activate PI3K/Akt and MAPK growth-signaling pathways
It attaches to IGF-1 receptors and switches on the cellular machinery responsible for tissue growth.
- Reduced binding to IGF-binding proteins, extending free/active circulating time
Normally, binding proteins in your blood quickly deactivate IGF-1 — this version is modified to slip past those binding proteins, so it stays active far longer.
- Promotes both hyperplasia and hypertrophy in muscle tissue
It can prompt muscle tissue to both grow bigger and, unusually, create new muscle cells.
- Has insulin-like effects on glucose uptake
Because it's structurally similar to insulin, it also pulls sugar out of the bloodstream and into cells.
Result
Significant, longer-lasting muscle growth signaling compared to natural IGF-1, due to its extended activity in the body. Used alongside training, this is associated with a fuller, more muscular appearance and faster strength gains, though it also carries a real risk of low blood sugar symptoms like shakiness or dizziness.
