Thymogen

Research Phase

Thymogen (Glu-Trp Dipeptide)

Aliases
Glu-Trp, L-glutamyl-L-tryptophan
Administration
Intramuscular injection, Intranasal

Overview

Thymogen is a synthetic dipeptide (just two amino acids, glutamic acid and tryptophan) developed as a simplified alternative to thymus-extract peptides like Thymalin, based on identifying the smallest active sequence responsible for their immune effects. Like other Khavinson-tradition bioregulatory peptides, it is studied in Russian clinical research for supporting immune function and is available in both injectable and intranasal forms.

Treatments studied

Immune system decline (age-related)

A simplified, synthetic alternative to Thymalin, studied for the same age-related immune support purpose using a minimal two-amino-acid sequence.

Immune system strengthening

Supports T-cell differentiation similar to Thymalin, with the practical advantage of being available in an intranasal form.
